 Annaprasana I can’t believe, Maaruti growing up so quickly! He almost ready for solid food now. I am so blessed that I get to spend all my time with him– watching Maaruti grow is utter joy. Today he is exactly 6 month old and I performed simple Annarprasana ritual at my home.  After do prayers , i introduce sweet rice(pongga soru) to him . So first feed by Maaruti mother and followed by my self , Then all the family members feed him . After the feeding of the food we played a game that is traditional to the ceremony. A selection of items are laid out in front of the child and what he chooses tells us what his aim in life will be: a book for learning, pen for career ,gold for wealth etc,other things that i put including fruit,flowers,my handphone and laptop . Officially Veteran I turned 30 today and so far it seems ok :-).Got few wishes so far but no presents, I was thinking about the excitement of birthdays from when I was a kid. Man it seems like forever ago. Not being able to sleep the night before and then waking up to all of those presents. Wow. The magic goes away after your early 20s.My 20s were definitely a precious time, but I wouldn’t necessarily relive them and would like to think I’ve grown and matured throughout that time (and I hope the same throughout my 30s hahaha…). Now entering 4th phase of my life,which is really an important one ...hope it has it moments.

Hair Shaving   MrBots with shaved head Maaruti was born with a head less of hair. I read somewhere,when baby born,hair symbolize the past karma's that the baby bring in to their new life.Means the less the hair its good.Maaruti already turn 3 months 16-5-2013 and today 24th May 2013,  I got to shave his head bald. It’s an Indian custom to remove baby’s first hair and there are many beliefs on this baby-first-hair-shaving ritual. The one that makes sense to me is that shaving the baby’s hair helps release excess body heat and keeps the baby’s head cool.   Maaruti starting to get nervous I brought him to Batu Caves to have the hair removed. When we reached the barber shop, my heart was pounding so fast. There were not many babies having their hair removed on that day so the place was so quite. Maaruti was so cool at the time as well .
