Why is Godes Kali standing on poor Shiva?



There are few misconception about this topic normally,event some understand it as Kali defeated Shiva in a battle which is completely wrong .Legend has it that after defeating Mahishasura and other demons, Goddess Kali was still outraged at the Adharma on earth. She continued destroying everything before her. All living beings were foreseeing eternal doom. To escape from the wrath of Goddess Kali they approached Shiva.To stop Goddess Kali from destroying the cosmos, Shiva went into the battlefield and lied down motionless among the corpses of demons.Goddess Kali moved across the corpses destroying and cutting them into pieces, suddenly she found herself standing on top of a beautiful male body. For a moment she stood still and then she looked down at the body and saw it was Shiva, her husband.
When she realized she was touching her husband with her feet, Goddess Kali stretched out her tongue in shame and the destruction came to an end.

Shiva then pacified the Goddess and danced with her. Together they started creation again and made the world free of Adharma. Hope it clear peoples doubt .

My wife's Valaikappu was held yesterday on 9th Dec 2012. The day actually fall on our 2nd year of our wedding anniversary, My wife was 30 weeks pregnant at that time.Vallaikappu is a combination of two words - vallai - meaning round (as in bangle) and kappu - meaning protection. This ceremony is performed during the odd months of pregnancy mostly during the seventh month for the expectant mother and celebrates the joy of the upcoming motherhood and ensures the welfare of both the mother and the baby inside her womb. Mostly women are invited for this function. The expectant mother is made to wear a lot of bangles mostly glass ones of red and green colors and the sound of these bangles are supposed to reach the womb. We do some cooking our self and especially my wife she do mee-goreng by herself - and we brought some kuih-Muihs and cakes. We are told to use less energy, electricity, fuel etc. but are not shown the resources on how to, effectively, perform these tasks. Increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere is known as global warming,However with the signs being so evident still we are showing no signs of transforming.
