Adventure ride Batu Arang

Lesson learned

2nd day CNY holiday , as planned before decided to visit Angalaman temple at K.Selangor and Kalai's sis will follow us as well . We went off around 2 pm and reach there around 3.30pm, we came as guide to kalai's sis as their first visit the temple .

After the prayers, It seems rain going to blast in a moment so and i decided to go back , and while on the way back think on using the "easy" route back home so it may helps for the car following me as well . So i think of the PLUS highway that i used before to visit temple , but not able to get it route correctly on my phone G.Map . Stopped a while to search the route while waiting , Camry arrive ,after continue drive towards a junction as approach but no sign boards for PLUS highway , hence i turn right using the way we came to the temple just now . Then on way forward saw a lot of cars long queues for traffic light as time for people to come back after their balik kampung , This irk me saying the old road that i used to come might start to jame , then while we move at the end of the traffic light , sign board for Plus highway appear which direct to the left , as you can see the blue guide on the map below which is the correct way that i should have used elsewhere the grey line shows the actual way i took that day instead .

 

The roads was there was uneventful with after rain and only a handful of other vehicles on the road , The pitch dark road coupled with occasional gusts of mist made the journey quite scary with sharp turns , people in my cars started to question "are we in correct road" but i just keep going with the adventures route and Camry cruising behind . I never used Tapah road to climb Cameron highland as many says its quite difficult road to drive , but today i can i imagine how close might be this road compare to it .

While heading towards searing plus highway , after nearly 30minutes of anxious ride , Kalai as she was looking at G.Map was en lighting me that the road ahead is keep going and she cant see any Highway is approaching . So i make a stop to see the G.Map again , yea no sings highways and when i saw my car fuel meter it worries me as not much left i would say may be only enough for 5km or less , i totally forget about it . I saw a BHP petrol station nearly on the G.Map hence i decided to make a u-turn exactly at the junction and took Batu Arang on the left . We checked with Camry , they say they have enough fuel to continue but they still follow us as well .

To our bad luck, due to CNY the gas station was closed , oh damm . I was confused at the time and  thinking what next , then we saw two local girls who also came there to refuel their bike and for their disappointment it did not happens . Then i quickly checked with them the nearby gas station , they give us some direction to the nearest one which is at Bandar Tasik Puteri . Drove as guided , the road quite narrow as well but not scary as the on we came just now . After 20 minutes of drive , we approach a junction and turned right , and within 3 min another junction and this time it connec the LATAR highway . Uhhh finally deep breath at last and kalai saw petronas on the left . I went to refuel and we took Latar to go back.
Lesson Learned : Not to try road that you never used before.
