The transfer “knock on” effect!!!

Xabi, Barry, Robbie and The Newest Striker?

So, it looks as if the snowball that is Liverpool’s summer transfer activity may be starting to pick up speed and mass now that it’s gotten a decent push down the mountain. After the departure of the one-footed wonder, John Arne Riise, to Roma (wont forget his rocket against manure… best of luck to you, JAR),Meanwhile, Harry Kewell has finally departed(thx god) & Going the other way is none other than '2 meter Crouchy', who has been a cult favourite for the past 3 years.Rafa has reinforced the backline by securing the singings of Phillip Degen (right fullback, via B.Dortmund on a free) and Andrea Dossena (left fullback, via Udinese for roughly £7M). By all accounts, both of them can get forward and can actually defend properly. My initial bet is that unless F.Aurielo can stay healthy, it’ll be Dossena on the left and Arbeloa on the right. We also clinched the signing of Brazilian goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri from Palmeiras. The 25-year-old has signed a four-year contract with the Barclays Premier League club and will begin life at Anfield as understudy to Jose Reina.

Gareth Barry deal seems to be that Rafa is trying to throw 32-year old Steve Finnan in . Quite honestly i dont like this guy to play in our red shirt & even £18M is pretty damn steep. For about five million more, we could have one of the Davids – Silva or Villa (recently ‘linked’ to us for £25 million).Barry is an England international, can play left back, left or central midfield, but if given the choice,Alonso is 100miles better than him.Juve had signed C.Poulsen, a midfieder, from Seville, for £15m or so we are asking them to stump up for Alonso, was surely bad news for Rafa?but not for me.. No funds for Xabi, or so it seems at the moment, means no funds for Barry or to put towards Keane?
While some of us have been salivating over the possible arrival of one of the two Davids the reality of landing such a prospect is/was sketchy at best (because of our deadbeat owners who are so far in above their f***** heads and sorely lack any financial firepower). Going a step further to throw cold water all over this dream is Rafa, who’s popped that Spanish balloon, but has confirmed his interest in another possible, and until now, rumored target — Spurs’ Robbie Keane.I like Robbie Keane. He’s got plenty of talent, appears to best option to play with torres, and has demonstrated his ability to do the business for various clubs. Yet, it would seem odd that J.Ramos would be ready to jettison him so soon after arriving at the club. Granted, he’s already scored the servcies of young Dos Santos and is linked to Luis Garcia but the constant Berbatov-to-somewhere else (*cough*U*i*e**cough*) talk will likely mean that perception will eventually become reality. Keane isn’t going to come all that much cheaper than Villa (maybe 6 mil less?), so where is the cash coming from? I still say we hold out and spend that chunk of change on David Silva. Let one of the youngsters (Nemeth, Brower or Daniel Pacheco)Pacheco has been earmarked as one to watch ever since he came from Barca & recently doing well in friendlies too..

Finally there are not ground-breaking signings like Fernando Torres till now, let's hope that they will have a glorious career at the Reds, Unreasonable logic? Woolly minded thinking? Probably so but the lack of games and news does that to you! Roll on August 16th & aiding us to the long-awaited Premiership crown. hehehe hope so!!

Ohh man we Wasting Our Time On Barry!!!

Player valuations are crazy - especially english players.it is becoming a joke and once again we’re involved. Just like Heinze last season. Surely we have better things to do than haggle over 28 year old just made it into the England team .So pls Rafa get rid of players who made look ordinary, for what f***** reason.

Meanwhile Robbie keane is excellent prospects for us, in my mind. but will be expensive. regarding the latter, it really has gotten out of control. 20 million is definitely the top in reality, if we put 5mil more we should bet vila.
