Blog Anniversary


A year ago today I started this blog. Wow, how many things have happened this past year. It was a wild ride, but well worth it.The first time I heard the word "blog" it was in reference to Soccer blog's which I read everyday .I wrote my first post on March 8th 08. It was entitled "LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB IS IN THE WRONG HANDS". After that for 2nd post which is my all time fav "Mission Critical 9:29 " I think I waited for a week or so before I did it. Well, the truth is, I couldn't get idea what to post excually at the early days. By the end of April I was posting everyweek.
Through the process of this blog was encouraged by one of my good friends raj to blog.He put me on his blog for months. Many of you know RAJLESTA from his comments on my blog.There are of course the ones that I lurk on, but I can't give those away, not yet.To all my blogging friends thank you for visiting and all the comments that put on at my blog. Many of you don't know how much a part of life you have become. My life stories encourage me when I am down and my humor makes me laugh on those days when I struggle to smile.Here's to another year of blogging.

My wife's Valaikappu was held yesterday on 9th Dec 2012. The day actually fall on our 2nd year of our wedding anniversary, My wife was 30 weeks pregnant at that time.Vallaikappu is a combination of two words - vallai - meaning round (as in bangle) and kappu - meaning protection. This ceremony is performed during the odd months of pregnancy mostly during the seventh month for the expectant mother and celebrates the joy of the upcoming motherhood and ensures the welfare of both the mother and the baby inside her womb. Mostly women are invited for this function. The expectant mother is made to wear a lot of bangles mostly glass ones of red and green colors and the sound of these bangles are supposed to reach the womb. We do some cooking our self and especially my wife she do mee-goreng by herself - and we brought some kuih-Muihs and cakes. After a few days, life went back to normal and all the monkeys who had served as warriors in his army returned to their home in the forest. Combating Global Warming

Two sides of the world We all hear about Global Warming, but know very little about how to stop or minimize it. We are told to use less energy, electricity, fuel etc. but are not shown the resources on how to, effectively, perform these tasks. Increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere is known as global warming,However with the signs being so evident still we are showing no signs of transforming. (sometimes the green planet) .. but water is the source of life .. without water there would have been nothing.
