Visiting temple during "monthly"

I am curious on this issue since long ago on "WHY" woman normally wont go temple or involve in any auspicious event during "monthly" but i really cant stant with the ban when i was told if my wife deliver baby i cant even visit temple,even my self.What the heck...
The other day , I had a long and fierce discussion with my wife on why woman normally wont be advised/prefer to visit temple, Her explanation to me temples are god were places of hygiene and surrounded with positive energy,Women having "monthly" are 'unclean their body is not hygienic, that's why they are not allowed to worship . I cant really agree with the thoughts , Impurity and unclean is in one's heart and not in physical form. If women is not allowed to go temple in her "monthly" due to hygienic then she shouldn't go to workplace too ? while I voiced my toughs , she were constantly urging to me with her belief and faith. Did GOD said that females cannot enter temples during their periods ?

I think logically there is nothing like that says 'you should not go and visit temple when you have periods' - Nature created humans and humans created these rules on their needs.Meaning a rule created by our ancestor and might be misunderstood and followed by the generation V . Yes i mean those days women may be literally unclean during the periods as there were limited scope for maintaining hygiene or taking bath . But that no more applies to the modern days.Scientifically, the blood coming out during periods is not 'unclean' and all. It is also a part of pure blood only. When it is required for the most sacred deed of bearing a child.
From my understanding those days most woman's are house wife but they are normally busy with their home work stuff which involve many physical work , such need to go nearby river to bring water for cooking,and by the "monthly" they will be totally weak and require full rest . So they wont be allowed to do any work and Visiting temple during this period since they require some energy , normally temples located far away from their home and no transport there. Hence they are advised to take break at home . But this practice soon misconception and woman nowadays think they not supposed to go to temple . They say "Kaduvul thunilum Thurimbilem irukan" he is everywhere then why they only think god is only in temple ? Now we generation Y are educated and independent and we should be thinking what is good and bad for us.If you are good to others then your heart is pure and you won't worry about is it bad to go temple and all as u know nothing will happen when you haven't done anything bad here.
